One Day At A Time

Although domestic violence and abuse can happen to anyone, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, income or other factors, it is reported that as many as 1 in 4 women will experience domestic violence during her lifetime.

To raise awareness, a Serbian ad agency created a PSA back in 2013 called “One photo a day in the worst year of my life.”

In the short yet poignant clip, a woman takes a selfie every day for a year to document the physical effect of the abuse she endures.

The sign at the end translates to “Help me. I don’t think I can make it to tomorrow (to take another picture)”
