Building Community

Safe Haven Empowerment Center

Opening pathways to brighter futures through accessible services and meaningful support.

The Empowerment Center is the heart of Safe Haven’s work behind the scenes. It’s where our administrative team collaborates, plans, and connects, and where survivors can meet with advocates in a safe, welcoming space.

Here, we work side by side with individuals and families to help them find the resources, support, and encouragement they need to move forward. Whether someone is seeking guidance, practical assistance, or empowerment opportunities, the Empowerment Center is a place where hope and help come together.

At the Empowerment Center, we offer:

  • Advocacy meetings in a private and supportive environment
  • Referrals to community resources and specialized services
  • Financial empowerment sessions to build skills for long-term stability
  • Workshops and staff trainings to strengthen our services and community impact
  • Collaborative space for partners to meet with clients and offer additional support

Safe Haven of Pender empowers survivors of domestic violence to reclaim control and build self-sufficiency. Since 1988, we’ve provided shelter, advocacy, and resources while working to break the cycle of abuse, raise awareness, and hold abusers accountable.
